Doesn’t seem to work
How
Some reviews were complaining about having issues with logging into Webroot. I figured it out when I asked Webroot for help. The way Webroot accounts work is actually a bit unusual. Webroot actually has separate mobile and desktop accounts that are linked to a single email. All you really have to do to get the mobile app running is to change your mobile account password. You can only do this directly through the mobile app. The desktop website won’t fix the problem. Once I did that, the iOS/iPadOS Webroot app worked. Even after you change the mobile password, the desktop password is still the same since it’s a separate account.
I can download the app, but it will not open on my iPhone.
Have downloaded latest version. Click open. Sort of pretends like it’s starting, then back to the icon. Nothing. Shame bc their pc version is great.
I can’t even login in because I can’t get passed the subscription terms, there is no agree button to click.
I renewed our subscription and I cannot renew it on my husband’s devices , when I click on the go button to renew it on the mobile security, a pop-up message says authorization request does not include a URL.
Well. I received an app code as a gift from BestBuy. After installation on the security checkup screen I get info that my iOS (18) is not latest and latest version is 17.x.y. TBH I have some doubts that guys who are not able to compare software versions correctly are able to write something worthy.
I got a message that says my webroot account expired. Something is so screwed up in my account ever since the changed their website. My account doesn’t even go to my email address. I had to contact support but they sent a link to connect but still could never access my account. On my computer that’s connected to my same account says I have 661 days left in my subscription. I have never had such crappy problem and their IT people don’t even fix the problem. So now I put my code in and comes back as an error! I don’t Recommend Webroot anymore because you can’t even get ahold of support because that also gives an error.
Stop telling me to update things that are already updated
This product was included when I purchased their AV software for a family members PC. So I decided to give it a try, I guess I am supposed to have this warm, fuzzy feeling inside knowing that they’re protecting me from the outside world however I feel this product is nothing more than a security blank that my kids cares around to make him feel safe and secure. I have worked in network and cyber security for several decades and find this product for anyone who is semi conscious in the security realm of life. This product offers no meaningful value and I will be deleting it. Please note this is not a slam against their computer AV anti virus product.
Keeps requiring login. Can’t do anything once logged in.
I thought I’d try it and lo and behold I experienced the same issue as many and can’t login. I’m not going to spend any time trying to figure it out, it’s just a big disservice.
Had to remove app to use Safari
I use webroot on all of my devices and laptop but recently it has started redirecting web pages n my iPad to error 404. With help from Apple rep we found it to be the webroot extension in the safari settings. I turned that off and the problem went away. Webroot needs to fix this.
In the last few days Webroot’s safari extension started to auto-redirect valid web pages to some undefined link of the same domain 5 to 15 seconds after the valid page is loaded successfully Safari. I had to disable all Safari extensions and content blockers then enable them only one at a time to see which one may be causing problem. I was expecting one of the ad blocking extension to be the problem but the culprit turned out to be Webroot extension. Since Malwarebytes’ content blocker works better and Webroot Extension doesn’t seem to do anything useful, webroot app has been uninstalled from my ipad.
The software works fine on my windows computer but on my mobile phone (iOS) it keeps giving me error messages though the login credentials are the same in both cases!!
Can log into my account just fine on my laptop. When attempting to login on app, given an error of incorrect username, e-mail and/or phone #
Can’t even login. Blank screen
I can’t use it on my IPhone? It’s keeps telling me email and password are wrong. I’ve wasted a lot of time changing it but see here in the comments that it’s a problem with your app! Please fix this. I normally love your service.
Works ok in McBook but on iPhone appears an error telling me that my email, my phone or my password is not correct. But all are correct and can log in at my McBook perfectly. For what I read on other reviews, this issue has been there for more than 6 years and Webroot has not do anything about it. I am disappointed bc I bought the package that supposedly include protection on mobile devices and this is not happening! I called support and the system crashed
Thanks 🙏 for the reminder…. 🥹
Bellow/hellow how can I put product key. When I haven’t purchase it. You did even set a free trail before the product key am sorry say this FIxxxxc Ittyt

Had webroot for years on computers, just figured let’s put on mobile. Easy download, could not even get into it! Kept saying invalid user or password, and it wasn’t, tried to call and went no where with a bot! Sent an email saying if this is the level of service for a security company! Maybe time to change!
I have been trying for an hour now to download the app onto my cell. I’m sorry now I purchased Webroot.
This app used to have a decent secure browser, but for some reason they decided to remove it, and now the app is basically useless
I’ve used Webroot for awhile and recently renewed and now it’s trash. All it does is scan There is no browser. All saved tabs…gone.
Deberían arreglar este problema ni siquiera puedo acceder a mi cuenta con el app
Where’s the Webroot browser!? All my tabs just vanished! What’s happening!?
I use to love using the browser for Webroot, but they recently did an update and you can no longer use the browser. Only scan your phone and check WiFi security. Just don’t waist your time and money on this.
Today with no warning this app turned into Webroot security instead of Webroot browser. All of my bookmarked pages are just gone. There doesn’t seem to be a way to revert it either. This is a nightmare all the recipes I’ve saved over the years everything just gone.
This app keeps crashing after I downloaded twice. Please do not get Webroot next time. I wish I never bothered with this, period. I’m so done with this!
This will be THE LAST TIME I buy and use Webroot! Have been a user since you all have been up but now I can’t get support for a 2 year 6 device purchase that is HARD TO PUT ON DEVICES NOW! You all have changed so much that you’ve locked the user’s out! When I try io get help from you all you pass the buck over to the place where I purchased it from and I’m tired of the back and forth visits!! So I’m done…
This app has lots of problems!
1. There’s no feature that shows it’s intercepted or blocked any threat 2. This is supposed to protect you from malicious apps but as of 12/2022 there hasn’t been an update for 1yr?????
The WebRoot product worked fine for quite a while. Then it started frequently asking me to sign in again, about once a week, before I could use it. Now it says only that Safari cannot get a connection to the server. It’s been that way for over a week so the product is no longer usable.
I just installed Web Root on out PCS; no problem. Tried to install on my iPad and I get a blank screen that says, “Information has not been verified yet.” When I bit “Go” at the bottom I get a window that says Safari cannot establish a secre connection to the web site. I am Now totally exposed to the outside world and kind of upset about it.
I can login on my laptop and my galaxy phone but not on my iPad.
Keeps saying my account is invalid. Didn’t have an issue on my computer.
Downloaded Webroot and got Google Browser
Can’t login or reach any customer support. The phone number just takes you to ads for other products. Total scam!!!!
I set my mom up with Webroot on her PC. But on her iPad it will not work at all. Running the latest version of Apple software. It crashes as soon as you launch it.
I can’t login to this account so now I want a full refund. It was easy to install at one time , but now impossible for me to do so. So I asking for full refund!!’
I purchased a license on my PC. For some reason, the iPhone app demands that I set up a completely new account and link it to my Facebook or Amazon account and it’s downhill from there. It’s impossible to use Webroot on my iPhone. I give this app a zero!
I won't debate Webroot's security claims for its Mobile Security browser. I'm not sufficiently geeky for that. Apparently, what I have downloaded is a Google Chrome browser with at least one modification, that being, it is claimed, the ability to integrate with the Safari browser and somehow enhance that browser's security. My complaint is with something that wasn't modified. Webroot's browser comes with some some preloaded favorites--bookmarks on the home screen--that are easily removed. Fine. Here's the problem: You can't put your own bookmarks there; no, you have to make sure a tab is open, click on the three little dots, and select 'Bookmarks' from the menu (by the way, if you can't find various things, it might be because the menu scrolls, so some of it is hidden, by default). In my case, if I can't make Startpage the default search engine, then I like to have it on the browser home screen. Now, Webroot's browser does have the option of choosing Duck Duck Go, which I did, but I've read that Startpage not only has Duck Duck Go's privacy advantages, it's a much greener choice, because the hardware that provides it uses much less energy than Duck Duck Go's. Too bad I can neither access it though the address/search bar nor via a home screen favorite.
I have a subscription with Webroot for my laptop and have appreciated the security they provide. I was looking forward to the fact that I could use this protection on my cell phone as well, especially since cell phones have become a big part of everyday life. I spend the last hour or so trying to get Webroot coverage on my phone. I couldn’t even get an email to come through with a link to reset my password and give me my security code so that I could simply LOG ON to the app. I did get one email to come through, instructions on how to download Webroot to my PC or Mac. I saw all the negative reviews (which I can now vouch for) but since I am still in the middle of the subscription that is protecting my laptop like a champ, I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, because I do so much browsing, sometimes shopping online, and am often connected to WiFi in public places , I need my phone to be protected. So unless Webroot is able to fix these big problems so that those of us who are paying for services they are not fully providing before I have to renew my subscription, I’m probably going to have to look for different anti-virus protection.
My log in works on my laptop but I am in a vicious loop on my iPhone. I’m told to reset password and log in. Then I’m told my password is no good. Ugh!
Quickly, the most recent reviews displayed are from 3 years ago. And any others more recently reek of paid-for reviews on the behalves of individuals who have never used this software. Do not entrust your mobile security to this company. Their software is a façade. There has been no update as per Apple’s new privacy guidelines, and this company is quite literally the worst laggard when it comes to making their software work with the latest OS. Example: the MacOS Catalina version of their “software.” As a quick update, if I could give this app less than 0 stars, I would. Webroot’s response to my review is case-in-point. That was not an opportunity for you to question whether or not I was correct in recognizing that this app is based on Chromium - aka at least 98% another company’s code. Along with that, this “malware” detection is not actually malware detection. It is a static (as in completely unable to provide real time protection) set of URLs that have been marked as malicious by a 3rd party service, and they are only updated with the app itself. This provides absolutely zero “real-time” malware protection, nor does it do - once again - anything that chromium doesn’t do on its own. Ditch this company and all of its software. This app does absolutely nothing. It is Google Chrome with Webroot (now OpenText) branding. Chrome provides the exact same set of functionality - including “safe browsing.” Case in point - the last picture of this app is verbatim the stock multi-tab feature that Chrome offers out of the box. Do not waste your money, as their other products seem to mirror this façade of actual functionality.
