Webroot Mobile Security App Reviews

Very good access to web talk

I tried use it with success in a web talk with "Gol" Brazils flight company, after unsuccessful use of the Safari. But wen I test it in internet sites it crashed two times. It appears to be a good alternative to Safari.

Privacy issues

Any thing that gets typed in web address cant be cleared. Clearing history doesnt clear web address history. You can use back button and go to all website you typed in web address bar.

Not bad

Its a nice browser but I wish it was more clear on what makes it "Secure" besides search link scanning. And a home button would be nice. Other than that its pretty good. Better than Safari but not as good as Atomic Web.

WebRoot SecurWeb Browser

Asked their tech department but still doesnt work on my phone!

UI not as advertised

UI is ugly as hell on iPad mini running iOS9

Webroot complete

2hrs trying to add my IPad to the webroot account! 40 minutes talking with the geek squad! What a waste! It,s back to NORTON for me!

Cant login!

I dont know whats up with this app

Doesnt work

Ive been using Webroot for a couple years and have had no problems but this is very discouraging. I use the Internet more from my phone than my PC. The app worked on my Samsung but doesnt for iPhone.

Cant get it to do anything on my iPad!

I use my iPad more than my PC.

Dont bother

Dont bother I have tried repeatedly to get this app to work. Its crap as you can not sign into no matter what!!

Doesnt work

Doesnt work on my iPad. password doesnt fit.

Whats this?

Very poor. No indication of what to do. Looks nothing like the display featured on ITunes. Whats with the dancing Google task bar. Am I supposed to feel secure with that? Waste of money for 3 device protection, obviously only works on PC or laptop.

Puzzled

I downloaded this about a week and a half ago. When I opened it Google popped up and wanted me to sign in; tried several times, same result. Confused I sent an inquiry to WebRoot (Ive had excellent and consistent use of their Secure Anywhere Complete software on my PC and laptop). Their response didnt address my confusion re Google. After a while I tried logging on to the Google app and followed unclear pop ups offering options re security issues. After several tries at this I assumed WebRoot had turned the job over to Google given their web omniscience. Im leery of challenging the situation with doing online banking yet (that was the reason I wanted more security on the iPad.) Im interested in others experiences with this app. Added on 8/20/2016 Tried using the phone notification if security breach suspected. Although supposed to be compatible with iiPad, verification is via text code message which I dont have on iPad. Cancelling results in having to sign in to Google again and starting from scratch.

This is just a browser

This software replaces Safari - it is merely a browser & doesnt protect your device from apps, emails and texts with viruses. Not a "complete" mobile solution.

Poor Browser; Slow; Crashes Frequently

Cannot use this on iPad/iPhone; freezes frequently and crashes once you sign in to the password function. Great PC version (Im hoping) since this the mobile version is a bust and there have been no updates or fixes to date to address these issues.

Not worth it

Plan on changing products

Crashes quite a bit.

I love all we root products and have been using them for a few years with pretty good success, but this browser crashes consistently whenever I try to use the keyboard. I.e. Searches, typing web addresses etc. please fix this we root team. Theres nothing more frustrating than having the app crash while Im typing! Both iPad and iPhone use.

Doesnt work

Try searching several times and keeps crashing. No wonder its safer, you can never get online with it.

Is it a joke ?

It is nothing different between Safari. I mean not any secure site to warn you. I love to use the McAfee SiteAdvisor more.

Slow, then frenetic & frustrating

I installed this on (my iPad2, iOS 8.1.3) on a recommendation from "Kim Komando, Your Digital Goddess". Fifteen minutes later, I found that the complaints about it crashing when filling in forms etc. seems to be corrected. However, when I wrote my password and other items, the page quickly scrolled to the bottom, and I couldnt see what I hade written. It will do this every time. Facebook works very slow. Only loading a half dozen stories/posts per minute, Id guess. While writing this review, the text box is hidden behind the keyboard, and will not allow me to scroll it up. I solved that by hitting enter a bunch of times, so I could follow what I was typing. As far as security goes, it may possibly be a good program, but Ill never know. That is, I wont be using it with these awful traits.
